Kimberly G. Cherry, CFRE

Kimberly Cherry has lived in the Valley since 1991 and spent her career in nonprofit management and fundraising for local, state and national organizations. She has held positions as Executive Director and Vice President of Operations for Junior Achievement, as special events coordinator for the California State Fair and Exposition and as Director of Development for the American Red Cross and Scottsdale Healthcare Foundation.

She is respected for her analytical, planning, development and marketing skills. Her expertise includes direct response marketing, board development, Raiser’s Edge software, annual giving programs and fundraising planning. She was invited by the US Agency for International Development and the Peace Corps to El Salvador where she led a board training conference and to Russia where she prepared high school teachers to incorporate free enterprise into their classroom curriculum.

A native of Texas, Kim earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition from Texas Tech University, in Lubbock, and an MBA from the University of Texas, El Paso. She received her Certified Fundraising Executive credential in 1989 and has served the local association chapter as a mentor for new fundraising executives.

Kim joined Young & Company in 2006 where she has conducted development and planning studies for Maricopa Integrated Health Systems, ICAN of Chandler and Arizona Theatre Company.
