Patricia Welborn

Patricia WelbornPatricia accumulated over 20 years experience in marketing, strategic planning and project management in the business world, before moving over to the not-for-profit sector in 2002. At that time she joined the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago as Project Leader for the development of a charter school and later as interim executive director for an inner city YMCA branch. In 2006 she joined Young & Company and has been engaged in a number of strategic planning and fund development projects.

Patricia has been active in community service, volunteering for various funding allocation committees for the United Way in Phoenix, AZ. and in Chicago, IL. In addition, for six years she served as board member and Chair of the Board for the Self Employment Loan Fund, a micro-enterprise agency based in Phoenix, AZ. Currently she is serving on the boards of the Heard Museum in Phoenix, AZ; Genesis Inc., a community based organization working to turn around the lives of high school drop-outs; and the International Baccalaureate Parents Association for Desert Mountain High School.

Patricia received her BA from Pomona College in Claremont, CA. and has an MBA degree from the Anderson Graduate School of Business at UCLA. After living in ten different locales across the United States and abroad, Patricia has made Phoenix her home. She and her husband, Michael, have three children, two dogs and a cat.
